It was all a dream.

In the Wings aerial was created by Fallon Voorheis-Mathews in early 2018.

Fallon has spent her entire life moving. Starting with ballet at 2 years old, moving on to gymnastics at 3 and returning to dance in her teenage years. She danced throughout college and found aerial in 2010. She was immediately hooked as it combines all of her passions and having roots in the circus creates a sense of inclusiveness. After spending several years creating and performing with other companies, she decided she was ready to start creating her own performances and started In the Wings.

Fallon is also a practicing RN. She has always had a passion for helping others and making the world a better place. She believes that art can heal and hopes that In the Wings can do so for the performers, choreographers, and the audience. As artistic director, she focuses on meaningful works that will make a difference. Her first vision was to focus on women and the issues they face and the triumphs they’ve had. In the Wings’ first show debuted on International Women’s Day and focused on just that. It allowed the performers and choreographers to work through issues of rape and abuse as well as light hearted pieces that helped us come out of those dark places. The audiences agreed. #smashthepatriarchy #womensupportingwomen

But this story is just beginning. Fallon has so many more ideas and issues to focus on for future In the Wings shows.
